Focus Merge enables you to create super sharp photos in Affinity Photo
I took this photo with my Nikon D7500 using a 25-85mm telephoto lens. Notice how it is sharp from foreground to background. I set the lens and camera to manual focus and used M for exposure/speed setting. After I set the correct exposure I focussed on the reeds in the foreground, took a shot, then the ducks, refocussed, took another shot then focussed on the background and took another shot.
In Affinity Photo on my computer I selected File/New Focus Merge... then clicked Add. I selected to photos from my card then clicked OK. Affinity used its magic to merge the photos into one. I adjusted the levels, contrast and colours using the Auto buttons then tweaked a bit by adjusting the Curves. I sharpened the image using High Pass and what you see is what I got.
Another focus merged shot processed as an HDR Black and White sketch in Affinity Photo
I love the rich light in this photo and great composition. The eye is funneled towards the two figures in the doorway.
